WE'RE WALKING!

Life with Analise is changing yet again.....at 13 months old now (I know we have severely neglected posting updates....sorry) things are getting more exciting and fun. Last night (8.9.2009) I was playing with Analise, in the living room, and for the past several months Analise has been flirting with trying to walk. Well........can you guess.....Analise walked by herself from me to the couch (about 7 steps) alone. After a well deserved praise for being brilliant, Analise did it again and again. Elizabeth and I looked at each with pride but also with "oh no" looks on our faces considering the life changes this will bring. I was thinking..."my little baby girl is a toddler now!" After about 10 minutes of not walking Elizabeth went down the hallway, for what I can't remember, and I thought..."I wonder what Analise will do if I put her at one end of the hallway with her knowing that mommy is at the other end." So I picked up baby girl and I set her down at the end of the hallway and said, "go get mommy" and with a big smile Analise took off without any help from daddy. She was so cute trying to keep her balance (which she did).

As of me posting this Elizabeth just called me and told me that Analise pulled herself up, via the couch, and took off down the hallway. I wonder what she (Analise) must be feeling now that a whole new world has opened up for her? That is all for now. We will try and get some more pictures posted soon.
