Analise is going to be three next week and is learning so much every day. She enjoys Natalie being able to play a little now and always likes to "teach" Natalie how to do things. Analise can count objects, do a tiny bit of subtraction, and she knows her letters and their sounds. Her sentences become clearer and more complex all the time. She certainly loves to talk! She loves to sing (her favorite song is Take My Life) and read. She loves animals and playing outside. She jumps and climbs and explores new things every day. Her imagination is really taking flight now. She makes up stories, plays imaginary games with her animals and dolls and loves to play with her legos, blocks and tea party set.
Natalie is developing her motor skills really quickly. She can crawl now and is starting to pull herself up on things. She moves very quickly and loves to follow Analise and me around the house. Her fine motor skills are developing well too. She can feed herself finger foods, take blocks out of a box and put them back in again and she can reach and grab the tiniest of objects, which is a little scary. She is smart, too, and can problem solve: she figured out a special crawl for when she is wearing a dress where she crawls on her hands and feet instead of hands and knees. She is such a happy baby and loves her sister. Analise can always make her smile! Natalie has learned the sign for food, but her version looks a lot like blowing a kiss so we can't always tell which it is!
On with the pictures!
These are two pictures from Natalie's Baby Blessing that were taken by a friend of ours who is a photographer.

Daniel's birthday!
Daniel's parents got to come and visit over Memorial Day weekend. It was so good to see them and the girls had such fun with their Grandpa and Nana!

After Daniel's parents left on Sunday, we packed up the girls and went camping with Dan and Marnie and Bella at Lake Ramsey, near Vandelia, IL. Analise has been camping a few times before, but this was Natalie's first camping trip. Both girls completely loved being outside, staying dirty and cooking over a fire. I think Analise would live outside for always if we let her!

Mmmm...bacon, eggs and coffee. It doesn't get much better than that on a camping trip.

Analise loved the dock and the water. Her favorite game was chunking rocks into the lake while Daniel or Dan held on to her shirt for dear life!
