What a wonderful Petit Jean trip this year! This is a trip we've been taking since I was a little kid, and it was so much fun to bring Analise along for her first year! The fourth generation of Petit Jean-ers. :) We had the normal activities: eating and conversation and game-playing, as well as the annual hike to the bottom of the falls. My heart is always the most full during our worship service on Sunday morning. Gram and Papa bring the hymn books, and we all pick songs we want to sing (in 4-part harmony, of course!). Papa then imparts to us some of his wisdom and we take communion together as a family. This is what family is supposed to be: the older generations teaching God's wisdom to the younger generations, the whole family serving God and each other, the whole family worshiping God and sharing in communion together. I am so blessed to have such a family and am so excited to raise Analise within this tradition. All praise to God.

Here are a whole bunch of pics!

We stopped for a night in Searcy so that Analise could meet her great-grandmother for the first time:

Elizabeth!

I'm so happy to finally find you and Daniel again! Your little girl is BEAUTIFUL! What a wonderful family you have; how thrilled I am for you all!

When I didn't hear back from my last e-mail, I was afraid something might have happened w/ your pregnancy--but hoped that perhaps your e-mail had just changed or you'd been too busy to respond. I'm very thankful to know that both you and your sweet baby are fine.

Let me hear from you when you have a few minutes (if you ever do) and we can get caught up a bit further.

Love and blessings!

Christopher
