With our new little one on the way, and our family being so spread out, Daniel and I decided that we should start a new blog so that everyone can keep up with baby news! We found out we were pregnant during our trip to the Northeast this fall. Definitely a vacation we'll never forget!!
We told our parents by giving them a Dr. Seuss ABC's book (in person with my parents, mailed to Daniel's parents), with an inscription inside the front cover: "For you, so you can read to me in June. Love, your new grandbaby". Needless to say, lots of tears and excitement ensued!
The rest of my family (siblings and Gram and Papa), we told at our annual Petit Jean vacation in November. I decorated picture frames with baby stickers, and spelled out "Uncle Mike, Uncle Dan, Aunt Kristina, Aunt Marnie, Great-grand Gram, and Great-grand Papa" on them. They unwrapped them in unison, and again, many tears and hugs followed closely thereafter!
Now we are waiting and enjoying this short phase in our lives. I am currently in week 22. After a few bleeding scares in the first trimester, everything has gone smoothly...well, as smoothly as any pregnancy goes. Not very comfortable for mommy! We recently had our 18 week sonagram and were blessed to find out it's a girl!! I think Daniel, especially, was hoping for a daughter, although we both want some of each. This will be the first grandchild on my side and the first granddaughter on Daniel's side. Definitely a spoiled child!! But we wouldn't want it any other way.

FAT?!?! Don't you know you should never call a girl fat? Even when she's pregnant! :) Besides...you'll see for yourself tonight.

Good for you, starting a new blog. It really is a great way to keep in touch with out-of-town friends and family. I've met new friends through my blog, too.
We need a longer video. Luke keeps saying, "Do that again! Do that again!" :)

What is this I am reading???? You, Elizabeth Giger, are PREGNANT??? This is the former Elizabeth "I will never get married(i already rubbed it in your face about that one) and I will DEFINITELY never have kids" Sewell??? Might I just say, I told you so...multiple times! Congratulations! I'm really excited for y'all! If only y'all were a little closer to Louisiana so I could be a female "doubting Thomas" and see for myself...oh well
