I went to Springfield this weekend to judge in a piano festival. The judging was draining; I heard a few good ones, a lot of mediocre ones, and a few too many awful ones! It was really nice to get a short visit with Mom and Dad, though. I came in Friday night and ate supper with them. I love that we live so close to them now! Much closer than, say, Louisiana or China! :) Before I left, I taped all around the soffet in our kitchen and while I was gone, Daniel painted it.
I really like it...it needs cleaned up a little and we definitely need new curtains now, but I like it!
We've got just a couple of things to paint in our new house and then we can start work on the nursery. I just know that if I start on the nursery first, the others won't happen!
I haven't been sleeping well at night for about the past month and 1/2 or so, and for some reason, that fact is really catching up with me today! My legs just get so very achy at night that I have trouble sleeping. Any of you other moms have that problem while pregnant?
Work has been really busy too. Beyond all of my daily tasks, I've been working on creating a ministry plan for the classes that we offer. We have a lot of talented teachers here, but our classes (in terms of what we offer and when) are very haphazard and unorganized. We want to offer things very thoughtfully, to be sure we are offering everything we need to offer, to be sure we are feeding our people what they need to be fed (and teaching them how to feed themselves!) in order to be good disciples! We also have a Willowcreek preacher, Garry Poole, coming in September to offer a seminar on evangelism, so I've been working on that too.
So, in all, busy and tired...but content! God is good.

Good to hear the ultrasound went well! One benefit of having an at-risk pregnancy, as we did with Wendy, was that we had LOTS of ultrasounds! The very last one was about a week before we had her, and she was so big we could only see bits & pieces at a time.
Sleeping while pregnant...sorry. If there's a good solution, I sure didn't find it. I remember getting situated with my pillows propping me up here and there, and just starting to get comfy...and then I'd have to pee. :-)
I hate to tell you this, but it gets harder to sleep as you go along. You might try elevating your legs or wearing support panty hose during the day. Those are tricks I've heard about and used. Ultimately, you will be more uncomfortable or you'll go to the bathroom more at night. Take it easy and don't wear yourself out, okay?
